Commercial air travel returns

Barbados welcomes international travelers from 12 July, with its first scheduled flight by Air Canada, arriving from Pearson International Airport. Air Canada will initially have twice weekly service to the island on Sundays and Thursdays, with other airlines including British Airways, JetBlue, American Airlines and Caribbean Airlines arriving either later in July or early in August.

What about any curfews?

As of July 01, all national curfews were lifted. Social distancing was also reduced from six feet to three feet.

Are there any specific protocols for persons traveling to Barbados?

Yes. Everyone traveling to Barbados MUST be tested for Covid-19. Those traveling from international cities must be tested at an accredited laboratory within 72 hours of departure and those from the Caribbean within one week. Please click here for more information regarding traveling to Barbados.

Do I have to wear a mask while on the island?

Everyone on the island is strongly encouraged to wear a face mask while in public and practice good hand hygiene. Arriving passengers are required to wear face masks and will be subjected to temperature checks on arrival.
